Lemurian Quartz Point (LQP2)

This beautiful specimen from Brazil measures 10.5cm at its longest point and features not only the beautiful ladder like striations we expect from Lemurian Quartz, but also some beautiful rainbow inclusions. 

Lemurian Quartz often exhibits a specific crystal growth pattern known as the "Muzo habit" or "Tessin habit." This habit leads to the formation of crystals with a particular shape and the development of horizontal striations on the crystal faces. The striations are believed to be caused by slight variations in the crystal growth process, possibly due to changes in temperature, pressure, or the availability of silica. These variations result in the convergence of different crystal faces, creating the characteristic ladder-like markings.
