"Citrine" Cluster Heart (Burnt Amethyst) (BAH02)

While this gorgeous burnt orange cluster heart is actually heat-treated Amethyst, it is also considered to have the properties of citrine as well, and is widely regarded as citrine.

To create heat treated Citrine (also called burnt Amethyst), an Amethyst crystal is baked at temperatures of around 400-500 degrees Celsius, which changes the colour to deepening shades of orange, depending on how long it is "cooked" for. Naturally occurring citrine is Smoky Quartz that has been heated gently over hundreds, if not thousands of years in the ground.
