Aroma
Cooling, soothing and gentle. Aroma free.
The plant
Our Aloe Vera is sourced from South America. Aloe has been used for centuries, and mentioned by Dioscorides (one of the fathers of herbal medicine) in 78 AD and mentioned in medicinal books dating back to the 10th century in Europe. Aloe, native to Africa, found its way to the west via trade routes from Egypt and Africa. It was successfully introduced to the West Indies in the 17th century.
The extraction
The inner leaf and gel of the aloe vera plant is infused in fractionated (aroma-free) coconut oil for 2 weeks.
The infusion is gently stirred to encourage the therapeutic properties from the aloe vera to infuse into the oil.
The oil is then filtered for the final product.
This process is heat-free, to minimise any damage to the delicate properties of the plant materials.
Affects
Aloe vera oil is cooling, soothing and gentle. It is a highly therapeutic macerated oil 20% aloe vera inner leaf infused in aroma-free fractionated coconut oil.
Aloe vera oil has all the benefits of aloe vera gel without the sticky feeling of gel or any unwanted ingredients.
It is a popular first aid treatment as it is very healing, it takes excess heat out of skin and supports the skin’s natural moisture levels. This makes it an effective remedy for rashes and soothing irritated, hot, dry, damaged skin.
